3D Printed Modification for the Rudder Steering Wheel or Rudder Control Handle on the Perception Pescador Pilot 12.0. This Modification is made with PETG plastic (Polyethylene Terephthalate Glycol) and with a 25 percent Gyroid infil which makes the part very strong and resistant to heat (The glass transition temperature is the temperature where the material starts to soften and it is 185F for PETG) but if you see the part melting....go inside you are in danger!. The surface will have some aesthetic imperfections just like any other 3D printed Part. These imperfections do not affect the function of the part.
There are two versions. The Forward Knob and the Rearward Knob. Please make sure you select the correct one before purchasing. The Rearward Knob is usually used by people that sit very far back on the kayak and want to have the extension going backwards to have better control and leverage.
This item includes a 3D printed 1.5 Ball Mount style for FREE to be used as the turning knob. It also includes the hardware for the Knob to attach to the other 3D printed part
This item does not include the factory mounting bolt or the factory plastic insert under the original drive. You can use the original hardware with this modification.

3D Printed Parts Disclaimer
All 3D Printed products are made by the Plastic Extrusion method. This means that plastic is heated and layered upon itself to build the final part. As a result the resulting completed parts are not as strong as normal injection molded plastics. In addition the point at which the plastic becomes pliable is a lot less than regular plastics. It is not recommended to use 3D Printed parts for use in confined spaces that are subject to high temperatures as the parts may distort. Examples include; inside a hot car, in direct sunlight for prolonged periods or any other area that can potentially exceed 150 F Degrees and above. We are not responsible for any damage as a result of high heat exposure. In an effort to mitigate this Figxter ONLY provides products made with high temperature PETG plastics when strength and high temperature is needed. We determined earlier on that PLA turned out NOT to be suitable for some applications.
All Parts are made to order and 3D printed in strong Black PETG unless otherwise stated. Please allow 24 hours for the production process.
Note:
3D Printed Parts are not like Injection Molded Parts. The surface will show extrusion rings, artifacts, blemishes and other signs of plastic extrusion. This will occur with any 3D Printed parts using the FDM method of printing as we do. Slanted and curved vertical (Z Axis) surfaces will show more extrusions, artifacts, blemishes and signs of plastic extrusion than flatter parts. This in no way deters from the parts functionality. All parts are inspected prior to shipment.
